alternative for padding?

golles
my page is one big table, the cell in the middle of the page is the place for information etc. I'm not happy with the place where the text starts example:
http://www.golles.frihost.net/golles/ now I used padding-left in my css and it was working good till I was continueing my work on the guestbook (note this is just an example, real version is on my localhost till it is done) the table of the guestbook become to wide and I couldn't fix it, only when I removed the padding. now I was wondering if someone could tell me what I can use instead of padding wich will keep my tables on the good width in the cell.
(problem was only in firefox)
thanks alot for taking time...

cheers

If i understood you correctly, you could try just giving your insize elements a wrapping div with a margin - paddings do tend to behave...well...suprizingly to say the least...sometimes anyway...Very Happy

Its very easy to solve...put your content inside a <span> or something similar, and give it a margin-left: 10px;...
