The Solution for the Middle East Finally

Snafoo
I've thought long and hard about the fighting, the loss of life and reasoning behind it all. We, as a world, have wasted much human life, natural resources and money in the names of religions that have shaped and inspired the course of our history as a planet.

At the end of the second world war the united nations create a new state of Israel that has been the source of much contention and strife as the jews themselves. This is not a criticism towards the jewish state or its people, but in the name of world security, something must be done to correct the hatred and loss of life that envelops the region.

I propose that something radical be done about such a radical problem for so many people. RELIGIOUS MONUMENTS. What and why are these people ultimately fighting one another? Again, ultimately, its for the religious monuments that are encompassed in the State of Israel. I suggest that for all the money and effort we as a planet are expending on protecting this fragile state a better solution is available to us.

While maintaining a secure border around the current State, I propose we temporarily move the current population to some place safe. Then the United Nations should come in with some officially sanctioned task force of bulldozers. Every religious monument from the Wailing Wall to the Dome of the Rock to the place where Jesus was buried should be leveled and flattened, burned and buried. All of them. If it is determined that the whole state is nothing but a religious monument, the turn it all into a glass parking lot (ie nuke or bomb the hell out of all of it). Just so long as there are no monuments left. Nothing left sacred to any religious group of faction. However this might best be accomplished. At this point, the state may be returned to its peoples.

If they all want to continue to fight over religious hatred? Personally, I feel since the Israeli State was a bad idea to begin with that we can certainly find a better place for them to start over. I mean come on folks, we ended the second world war trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, ie. the State of Israel. Are we hosnestly considering having a 3rd World War over it?

To all you historians and archeologists out there, this will just need to be marked off as another loss to history. But what a worthy loss it would be. It will still never compare to the burning of the library is Alexandria in ancient times. I would love to see all the cool stuff and sites there myself but I dont think it is meant to be.

For all of you who think this is the "End Times". To begin, I'm not an atheist. But I have an answer for you. Its always been the "end times". However the world is not coming to an end with your prophecies and Jesus dropping from the sky and all the rest of the fantastic crap that you folks try to derive from the Revelation. The conciousness of Christianity is trying to create a self-fulfilling prophecyof its it own with all this garbage. No indeed.....the world is coming to an end. As long as we continue to rape the natural resources of this planet and turn it into nothing but a garbage heap, the planet will soon not be able to support human life.

Anyway, I will save the rest of my thoughts for another post on "End Times". Suffice it to say - Israel is not worth the dirt it sits on for all the loss of life it acrues on a yearly basis in its name. Its time the whole world came to its senses.

Terrible idea. Destroying religious monuments would only create more hatred, and more desire to kill.

Let's not add fuel to the fire.

By the way, I only read down to the "level them" part. I felt it pointless to read further.

How does it fuel more religious hatred when u r destroying all religious monuments in Israel equally. It shouldnt add any hatred if it was a decision of the "world". It destroys not only Jewisih monuments, but muslim and christian ones as well...Its not meant to attack any particular religious group, but remove symbols that have caused more death than any good that might come from them.

Uh, human nature? Since both sides tend to think they are "right", they will still blame the others for not being willing to to "see the light", thus causing the all the destruction.

So unless you are just offering a modest proposal, ala Swift, I think you should keep thinking. Wink

Had you thought before posting, you would have searched and would have found a thread named "Sticky: The Middle East Conflict - No more threads about it."

Since you either created your thread completely mindlessly or out of blatant disregard for the clearly worded "No more threads about it," this thread is now -locked-
