Is the such thing as true love?
well the question says it all! i know i will get people sayin things like:
"I have true love! i'd die for my girlfriend!!!"
the question i usualy ask is:
"would she die for u?"
then i get:
"emmm"
I know u can have very strong feelings for someone.
but most often they dont.
Would u suffer anything just to be with someone?
like poverty, hunger?
Our society makes us selfish. we care more about the money and our own well being than we do about the person we love!
So anyway. if u are in real love tell me, help me on thisa survey!

This reminds me of a bit from the "Hollywood ending" of Adaptation... Charlie Kaufman and his twin brother Donald are hiding behind a log in a Florida swamp, while Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper are hunting for them with a rifle...
Anyway, yes, I have true love. Would I die for my girlfriend? Would she die for me? Who knows? Neither of us have had a shotgun pointed at us yet. Would we suffer poverty and hunger to be with each other? Don't know. But then, I don't need such proof to know whether she loves me or not, or whether I love her.
Honestly, I don't ever think of our love in terms of what my girlfriend would do for me.
That's true love.

| KAUFMAN
There was this time in high school. I was watching you out the library window. You were talking to Sarah Marsh. DONALD Oh, God. I was so in love with her. KAUFMAN I know. And you were flirting with her. And she was really sweet to you. DONALD I remember that. KAUFMAN Then when you walked away, she started making fun of you with Kim Canetti. It was like they were laughing at me. You didn't know at all. You seemed so happy. DONALD I knew. I heard them. KAUFMAN How come you looked so happy? DONALD I loved Sarah, Charles. It was mine, that love. I owned it. Even Sarah didn't have the right to take it away. I can love whoever I want. KAUFMAN She thought you were pathetic. DONALD That was her business, not mine. You are what you love, not what loves you. That's what I decided a long time ago. |

There probably is. But would you die for your GF? or not?
I would die for love any time without even thinking about it, love is the only thing worth to die for. It doesn't matter if that person loves you back the same, you will never know, but once you truly love i doubt you question it.
