Help with PS CS2

Hey I found this tutorialfor photoshop to make animated fire I am trying to add it into something else I am making but I am using clouds as background when add the fire it makes my clouds fire. Could someone help me please here is the site:

Not 100% sure on what you're asking? Are you saying when you try to make the fire over the top of the clouds they disapeer? If that's the case then you need to work on different layers, as that's what you do in photoshop.. So do your clouds, then Ctrl+Shift+N and hit enter. Now do the fire, should work now?

No lol thats not what I ment i might not have seemed clear enough. I'll try clearing it up lol. Ok when I try adding fire to the image once I add the colour balacne the clouds go all redish orange but I only want the fire to do that.
