How to delete files/folders permanently in os x?

kiranaghor
I want to know how do i delete files/folders permanently in os x without making them go into trash?
I used to do SHIFT+DELETE on windows for this purpose.
Amit
even shift + delete doesnt delete the files/folders permanently. Recently deleted files can be recovered easily. To delete files permanently u can use softwares known as shredders that write null values to the clusters allocated to the file.
