i am getting a new computer with the following parts but im not sure what wattage psu i need:

gigabyte/asus mobo with either intel 965/975 chipset or nvidia 590
core 2 duo e6700 (2.67ghz, 1066fsb, 4mb cache) possibly vercloekd
factory overclcoked leadtek 7900gt
dvd burner
dvd rom drive
audigy 4 platinum
possibly a pci ide controller
floppy drive
4 case fans, 1 cpu cooler
2x 1 gb sticks of ram
3 hdds sata

i was looking at a 700watt psu

atleast a 700W

btw, i would wait a while until there are enough OC'ed core 2 duos and problems with the first batch have been ironed out...

Yep I'd say a 700W as well. Make sure it's a constant one as well! you don't want it dropping below the stated W. I can't remember the correct terminology for PSU's but there's like constant ones and vairible ones if I'm correct, one never drops below and one can do.
