Does anyone think the design looks worse then the Xbox? Don't get me wrong, I love my 360 to pieces, but I put it next to my Xbox and think "Man, it looks so bland". Anyone else think that?
About the 360
You mean 'man, it looks so minimalist.' I think the reason it looks that way is because it's more 'futuristic'. While Xbox is futuristic... it's more like 'Metropolis" futuristic... '30s style....
The 360 has a less postmodern approach and plus it screams 'it's all on the inside (jump in)' like you know... a 360 looks like you can have a gaming community on it... The Xbox looks like...

And the cool uber dark green thing going on (put your Xbox in the sun if you don't know what I mean) mainly it looks like a computer, made of plastic. the 360 if you put if upright it has 'curves' like "oh damn if that was a chick or I was a PS3 we'd be making babies right now" kind of. Yeah the 360 is HAWT.
If you want it to look less bland you could take off the faceplate... and not put on a new one.
