intro page

hi
I have a very simple question, if i have both index.html and index.php will the .html always load first?
The reason i ask this is because i'm puting an intro flash on the index.html and index.php is the forum. I want the intro to come first when the user visits my site and then the flash intro should redirect the user to index.php

what would be the best way to do this? Will index.html always load first compared to index.php?

thank you in advance

By using .htaccess you can set you own index page extension so you can use i.e index.html, index.php etc... as your default index page then all you got to do in your case is redirect the user to index.php when the intro as finished loading. Take a look at the following article for more information about .htaccess as shown below.

By default usually index.html will come before index.php. However, in order to garauntee this to work in this fashion, you might want to rename the forum file to forum.php.
htmlrules
if you have a .html page and a .php page the .html page will load first.
but to make sure, make the page you wish to load second have a different name like forum or somthing.

To make sure, you also can use .htaccess. You don't have to rename the forum page.
