Switching from Drupal to Civic Space - Database Question

pansophia
I while back I installed Drupal core on a web site. I then got hung up on some of the modules I wanted to add. I've decided to start all over with Civic Space.

Since Civic Space is basically a distribution of Drupal, should I point it to the database I already created for Drupal, or should I create a new database?

If anyone has ever tried Civic Space, will existing tables in the database trip up the installer?

I still haven't installed Civic Space, so let me know if you have any thoughts on this..
