Counters Question

Hello everyone, I have two questions and I think that this is the right forum.
How can I in a easy way make a counter which counts the amounts of peoples that have visited my site?
And how can I make a counter which counts how many that have downloaded a certain file?

I can use HTML without any problems and I am working at learning Javascript.

So all you need to do is customize the way you want it to look.

For your second question try this link below but you will need to use perl script so i dont know if this will be any good for you.

You're going to need to use PHP, Perl, or an existing counter service.

The first link user_f_ps_other gave you won't work for what you want if I understand right.
