What you think about it, especially the Dream Team of America?
In my opinion, this time is the best ever team in the history of Dream Team, even better than the 1992's one of Olympic Games, when you can link it with Wade, Kobe, James and Brand.
For me, I'm from China and certainly a China Team fan. I believe with Yao and Wang Zhizhi, we will be much better than previous two competition.
The American team could easily win and dominate, but they aren't even close to the caliber of the first Dream Team, with Magic, Bird, Stockton, Jordan and company.
Nope, at that time in 1992, the world basketball is not at the same level as they are today. So Dream Team won in such a easy way.
c'mon guys.. this team is stacked up!! i mean look at that bench.. they're like loaded with all stars.. i don't think i'll even see them lose one game!!

I even don't believe they will lose one quarter!I hope the US loses again just to show the world that the US has a bunch of starts and not team players. The ego's and attitudes on todays players are so enormous. If they play as a team the will dominate but if each players wants to be the star they won't. That was the thing about 92 they had role players and everyone wanted to win not just be seen.
US are top favorites this time and i think they will won.The players are great this time James,Wade....and the bench is full of stars.I just hope that Spain will drop out as soon as possible.I still remember that game Croatia-Spain that Spain won after extra time and i was so furious on referee.

you're all wrong. the cup belongs this time to the last olympic gold medallist and the previous finalist. the same team that eliminated the so called dream team in the semis of athens olympics, and again in the 2002 world cup. any doubt argentina is the next champion? ginobili, nocioni, just to mention some players...

Yao MUST BE the best center in the competition.
From all the games I watched, I think Greek will win the championship, as they play the "team basketball" which USA can not do with their superstars.
By the way, I like Turkey's play, they seem to do what Greek are doing.In my opinion, from the first games there are 3 possible winners:
Argentina: they seem very strong and they have already beaten US for the previous title,
Spain: they also look very strong and are quite capable of beating US.
Us: they are always strong even if they haven't won a title lately and if they didn't win so easily against Italy.
Normaly the final should be US against the winner of Argentina/Spain; Interesting to watch.
Spain will win this championship, they have the best team, and very good players, thay defeat Argentina, China, Serbia...all the matches before the championship, and they will continue winning in the championship. US is the best player by player, but this is a team sport...
I was wrong, the USA didn't even reach the final as I though they will do.
They are very disapointing but of course the credit has to be given to the Greeks.
So it's really confirmed that the best basketball team has not been US for years now. They really have to work on what means to be a team.
So now, who will win? Maybe Spain?

I´m still thinking in Spain...but greece is very strong, there will be a very interesting match next Sunday. The bad new is Gasol´s injury, he is doubt for playing on Sunday 
The world basketball championship is a great showcase of international sports competition, as it shows the NBA is not the only place for top-level competition in basketball. The USA had a great team and of course you had to see them as having a great chance to win, but its one-loss-and-you're-out. *Anyone* who is a fan of college basketball in the United States knows that a single-game elimination tournament is sure to produce upsets and underdog champions. Any team that gets to the final of such a tournament is surely a great team but that doesn't mean they would be the champions of a tournament in which 5 or 7 games are played between two competitors before deciding which one moves on to the next level. The USA stumbled into some poor shooting (by guys that arguably are NOT poor shooters normally) at the same time as coming up against a great defensive team that knows how to play the game as a team sport. I wish the best of luck to Greece in the finals, although I'm sure their next competition probably won't have the same cold shooting hands.
I really didn't watch the championship (a little coverage by my national TV (they think if Croatia didn't qualify, we don't want to watch 
, and the time of games (my work)) but Internet monitoring http://www.fiba.com/pages/eng/fe/06_wcm/index.asp and analyse of the results tell me that European basketball are at the highest position ever in the history!
I don't support any country in the final, but I'm so sad that Gasol wouldn't be there. 
And this game for the third place, USA vs. Argentina could be delicios also. Argentina is the best team in all the championship, i cant belive how can they lost with spain. Argentina will win in the match vs u.s.a.... u.s.a have good players(Wade, James, etc) but Argentina also have players that are in the nba, and that are in the same level of the players mentioned before. Ginobilli is great, i thinf is the best!!! Nocioni, Delfino, Oberto, Sanches, all are great players that are in a superior level!!

My favorite team is Spain. Spain is very good team. Gasol is very good and tall So, it seems that Spain was finally the best on this tournament. They totally upset Greece.

Maybe, but that's the way the championship is (as it is anyway for other sports such as soccer, hockey, aso..). If you are the best you have to adapt to it. Anyway I have not heard that US complained about the formula when they were winning (Ok that was a long time ago) Finally, the competition proves the power of GROUP BASKETBALL, when Spain win the champianship without their superstar PAUL GASOL. What you guys think about that?

That was the big problem.
Greece was waiting to vs Spain With Gasol in.
Both teams have great rooster but i believe that Greece is more complete.
Anyway let's salute to the winners

JEJE i know it, Spain is the best team in the world now, i would prefer USA in the final, but greece was the european champion...23 points of difference, thats says too much about the level of Spain in this championship, and without Gasol...
