Need help with folders....

If you create a folder within the public_html, and put a webpage in it, how do you link to it? A link like you'd normally use doesn't seem to work and neither does yoursite.frih.net/foldername/page How do you use other folders? And if you can't even do this, what is the point of having folders within it at all? I need to be able to organize my large amound of small pages! Please help. In layman's terms too, I'm not fluent in techno-babble.
Thanks.

Hmmm.. This shouldnt be the case.

If you make a folder in public_html, and your pages are inside that forlder.
You can access those pages by:
www.yoursite.frih.net/newfolder/page.htm

or

www.newfolder.yoursite.frih.net/page.htm

Any folders inside that new folder just follow on in the link:

www.yoursite.frih.net/newfolder/newfolder2/newfolder3/page.htm

I dont really know what else it could be. Are you sure your putting the file extensions at the end. (.htm, .html, .php, .jpeg, .gif ...)

Unless you have a index.htm / index.php in your newfolder, just www.yoursite.frih.net/newfolder is fine. It will just default to the Index page.

Hope this helps Confused lol

Thanks so much! It was the first one that worked :
www.yoursite.frih.net/newfolder/page.htm I'll have to remember that format Laughing
