Xoops and the "XBS MetaTags"-module have worked great for me on my other sites.

What i think is that , any CMS , can be SEO friendly , but CHOOSE the template WISELY .

Choose the template such that , it is ,

    Using Less Images Or no

Follows Standards , and is complaint ,

Has Less HTML , because see that u have more content than HTML

    is Light on the hole

These tips can get u online , with any CMS .

can’t figure out how to verify my site with google. -- I have to put a html or metatag on the site – I uploaded the files but It won’t verify – I am not sure if I have them in the right place or not—

Anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers,
Carolyn

Every CMS is search engine friendly. It's just how YOU design the template that counts. I would, however, not reccomend you use Mambo or Joomla as they are both server hogs and lack a decent templating system.
