What do other Villa fans think of the takeover?? I think that Doug Ellis should certainly go, I would love to see Martin O'Neal installed as the Villa manager. I know their was rumours of Sven being the manager, I think tha would be a very big mistake as he plays far too defensive and Villa have always been an attacking side..

I like the name Aston Villa though i dont know much about the team and I saw in a football documentry that Aston villa was doing very good when football started becming a real game.......But they never seem towin the league these days...
With the new takeover of aston villa and the recent installation of O'Neal as the manager, i must say Villa can really go far this season. Villa already have a quite a decent squad and with the recent addition of Petrov from Celtic, Villa looks like a team capable of challenging for Europe next season. I'm quite confident villa will end up in the top 6. Cheers!
Yeah, with O'Neills trackrecord you are expecting something from Villa a bit. Of course no CL football straight away, certainly with him signing just his Bulgarian friend from Celtic, but a place behind the top 4 and in this way European football should be possible. Although there are more contenders for those spots. Certainly after the coup made by West Ham United. Anyway he has started already and that while Villa looked pretty horrible last season. O'Leary wasn't able to do much with the team.
I just bought Fifa '06 on PS2 and I am playing with Aston Villa I think they are a really good team and that O'Neal isn't a very good player.
Oh gosh, Martin O'Neal is a manager, not a player. LOL. Well, till now, Villa has been getting pretty decent results. Quite a good start to the new premiership season. Cheers!
