Possible to create an automatic updater?

Okay, I don't know where to post this so if you mods have a better place be my guest.

Is it possible to create a script that checks a newsfeed and then post a certain photo on a website? I know that is kinda vauge, so if you need anything else just ask.

yeah you need to parse the news feed and use regular expressions to identify the image that you want to post.
