what is the most usefull thing in the universe?
I'm starting this thread to resolve a running argument I've been having with one of my co-workers.
He asserts that duct tape is the most usefull thing in the universe, while I side whith the hitchiker's guide books in saying that a towel is the most usefull thing in the universe.
Besides the obvious answer (towel and duct tape), which is more usefull?
In order to fairly win the argument, and not just add in a lot of extranious opinions, let's actually list the uses of each.
For example:
Towel
)Use as a blanket
)Use to dry yourself off
)Fold it into a bag to carry things in
)Wrap it around your hand to touch something hot
Duct tape:
)Attach to pieces of something that's broken
)Make a window shatter-resistant
)Snare Roaches
)Tie up a hostage
The tally so far:
Towel: 4

I voted for Duct Tape, damn useful that stuff. For everything as far as I can see. If there is lack of it there's usally a breakdown in the system.
A towel and duct tape may indeed be very useful, but I highly doubt this topic is.
