Slapping a WaterMark Automatically.

Hi,

Is there a way to input (through php) some text (or smaller image) onto another image automatically. (When i mean automatically, i mean without me opening up Fireworks and editing every photo in my DB one by one.)

So lets say my PHP portal has an Upload image .php, and the image gets added to the portal instantly, to make sure it does not get stolen without a watermark, the php scripts writes text to the file automatically.

Any basic tutorial will be greatly appreciated

You could use the image functions in PHP. Check here for a list of image functions. You need to have the GD extension enabled in your PHP.

I Found:
imagefttext ( resource image, float size, float angle, int x, int y, int col, string font_file, string text)

Should Work.

Could Someone show me an example if they have it?

Hi there,

If you put text or image onto another image, will it violates the
copyright law? Wink

Here is "Auto Copyrights" that I read thru, so better watch out
of it.

I would like to know too for original images watermark feature ! Wink
