Linux on Mac book pro (intel)?

I would like to do a dual boot with osx and Linux. Is there a distro that hasworked out an easy install for the new intel macs. I have heard that it is a bear to install. I perfer debian based distros.

why dont you just install osx and then install linux using a distro like arch which is packaged w/ grub. that way you can dual-boot using grub.

You can use bootcamp to install a regular x86 distro (normal grub won't work due to a new boot-up system).

You would need boot-camp. Even though it says it is for Windows it should work for Linux. You can't just install linux because linux will look for a Bios that your Mac Book will not have.

Feel free to actually read my post; there are several projects that manage to have linux booting from the new Macs' pseudobios.
