IVR servers

I want to do a project in linux. Mostly something related to voicemail and i dont want to use any special software except modem and phone line.

Can anyone suggest me any software??? Any IVR server.

Download OpenVXI http://sourceforge.net/projects/openvxi
and build a VXML interperetor. Then just use VoiceXML.
It is VERY EASY to learn.
