Karrde
Well, hello there. Quite a nice little community you've got going on here.

Introductions, I guess, being that this is the forum for such.

I'm Karrde - pronounced "card" if you're wondering - but my real name is James. It's from the Star Wars novels by Timothy Zahn, and coincidentally bears a remarkable resemblance to my real last name (I had this pointed out to me by a friend wondering if that's where I got the name from, and I'd never even noticed it myself). I'm 25 and born and bred in little old New Zealand, which is southeast of Australia, at the bottom of the world, recently made famous by the Lord of the Rings films.

Work-wise, I'm a radio DJ, and I host the night show (7pm til midnight) on the local radio station. Works out well for me because I'm pretty nocturnal as it is. Before getting into radio, I was a computer technician having grown up around them due to my dad being an IT consultant. So I've moved from being a professional geek into more of a hobbyist geek.

On the side (and mostly for my own enjoyment) I'm a web developer, focusing mainly on PHP. I developed (along with a friend) a very popular Wordpress theme called Squible which is in public beta, and still being actively developed when I have the time. I'm also playing World of Warcraft on and off - mainly on the Suramar server with a level 43 (as of this writing) Tauren druid named Sturga.

Outside of geeky pursuits, I enjoy surfing and bodyboarding during the summer, I do a bit of audio production, and am attempting to learn the guitar, but not doing too well.

And that's me!

(Oh, and Kia Ora is "hello" in Maori, the native tongue of New Zealand. Look at me, I'm all multicultural and stuff.)
