**Question about converting file types**

ncwdavid
Hey, I have loads of ebooks with full resell rights on all of them and I have seen on some sites that you are able to read ebooks online. The ebook was fully readable and had its table of contents which you were able to click on to bring you to new parts of the ebook. I want to know how to change my pdf files from pdf to being able to view it on my webpage.

Plus I also have loads of software and one of them is Instant Affiliate Link Masker and you don't even have to install it. Just open it as an exe file on your computer. Then all you have to do is fill in your referral url and it takes away the id at the end of the url. Is it possible to add that to a webpage and use the same way as you use it when you are using it on your computer in the .exe file?

Any help appreciated Very Happy

Pdf files should be able to be opened in internet explorer when you are surfing the net, so what is the problem?

Yes I know but when they are on a webpage how do you get them to open when you click on a link instead of starting to doenload the pdf file?

This is dependent on whether the person clicking the link has Adobe Reader installed and whether their web browser is configured to call Adobe Reader to open the file directly, or to save it to disk (or to ask the user to choose).

PDFs are the document in one big file, whereas you could conceivably set up an HTML version of the PDF in multiple pages for, say, chapters. You'd then only be loading each chapter at a time, meaning faster loading times.

Adobe have a utility on their site for converting PDF documents to HTML and theres a few other applications out there that'll do the same thing (try googling for "PDF to HTML") which may work better for separating chapters into individual pages.

Personally, I prefer reading books in PDF, but I HATE having PDFs open in my browser so I just save them. I can also load PDFs quite cleanly into my PDA so I can read them wherever I am. Smile
