I'm reading Sea Wolf, man ca nthis guy use his language When I read it I'm just astounded by the smoothness of his words. ALso his use of similes is superb. I also have read Call of the Wild which was also a great book. Anyboyd here like him?
Jack London is awesome!
I got a 1931 pocket-books edition of Call of the Wild, but haven't read much of it. The beginning was worded very nicely I thought.
Call of the Wild was one of my favourite books as a child, and I still like it, along with the shorter story, "Batard."
If you like London's Yukon settings, also be sure not to miss Robert Service's "The Cremation of Sam McGee," and "The Shooting of Dan MCGrew" - two absolutely classic ballads.
