I'm currently working on a new style for phpbb3, it will be in development until the final release is out, in which time i will start to actually develope the site beyond the forum (ie, code the rest of the site). Please, because this is a work in progress, any comments on how it could be made better will be greatly appreciated.
http://hoatrang.frih.net I like it, maybe spicing it up with some little fake reflections or shines would make it better. I'm guessing your aiming for the "simple" section or something similar. When is it out by the way, I havn't visited the phpBB website for quite a while.

you mean like the very top menubar? where there is a "glossy" sort of effect?
I'm trying to keep the graphics down a bit, i don't want too much glitter all over the place. Perhaps i could make the icons glossy. would that be enough to 'spice' it up? | vln004 wrote: |

Erm, softening maybe. Like on the blue bars below match them to be like the "Forums, Classifieds, etc" bar. They would look better if they were mini versions of that basically.

hrmm, we'll see how that turns out, i really didn't want to add too much 'bloat' to it.
It was a nice skin to phpBB3.
I have just tested it on my hosting and it seems to work great!
I really wonder when the phpBB group will reales the final version of phpBB 3.0. Now is i just betal...

Even if phpbb3 is in its finally release, there might not be enough mods and templates to go around with it, and people would be all using the same skin. Imagine that, and you will feel kinda boring.
that's why i made my own skin ;p
i'll be writting my own mods too, i'll probably start sometime soon so when the final is released, i will be able to debug all of my mods.
here are some that i'm planning
individual photo gallery (limit of 5 pictures?) maybe more i'm still debating.
advanced profile (think of myspace)
and a CMS type thing, something to manage all my articles.
