His TV show is actually really cool... but I saw his live show in NYC and it SUCKED!! I was very disappointed.
It seems illusionists such as Angel and Blaine use camera tricks to their advantage. Without getting too into it, they pre-record their tricks (such as Blaine's levition) the exact way live audiences need to see the tricks and record the audiences reaction. They then use suspension wires, etc. and record the trick at all different angles for the TV viewers. It's still entertaining to try and figure out how they are done.
