Dark Glow Effect by EternalDragon

EternalDragon
This tutorial is honestly by me. I don't know if some people already know how to do this, but, n00bs at Photoshop don't, so I'll post it anyhow.

Dark Glow Effect

First off, start with a picture you think would look good with a glow around it, (about a size 300x50 or 500x100) preferably dark glow.
Then add a border, (optional), and add your text.
Now that you have added your text and added effects to them, it is time for the gradient.

Select the gradient tool and create a blue and white, (vertical), gradient. Now, if the thing you want to glow is on the left, about 3 fingertips from the right of the picture, start the gradient. But if it is on the right, start from the left. The reason of doing this is because you want the object to glow don't you?

Now it should look pretty shouldn't it? Well scratch that, goto filter and artistic then Neon Glow...set the glow size about -5 and the glow brightness to about 2. The color can be anything except a light color or black.

My results is my current signature.

Review-

Very easy and nice, but you still couldhave added a LITTLE more detail for those who are complete newxors. Anyway the end result is very nice andkeep up the good work! (post images step by step if possible)

Thank you for the compliments. Next time I will try to post images of my work. And I am not good at teaching, it took me at least 3 and half hours to write the tutorial. But to make the actual sig, it is a breeze Wink
