How to stop IE pop-up blocker?

I have an Internet Explorer Version 6 installed in my laptop. I don't have any problems with advertisement or malicious pop-ups before since IE did the job quiet well until I have to go to a legitimate site which has a pop-up. I added the site's URL to the IE exception list so that it would be allowed to show the popup window, problem is the page is still blocked.

I tried turning off the IE popup blocker but still it keeps blocking the site. I don't remember installing any other pop-up blockers aside the one in the IE. What do you think guys, what keeps the legitimate site from showing the popup screen?

Is there any other way to configure popup?

For ie you should use third party software to block adds popup. but for Firefox its including in option tab. Try this software popup blocker for IE -> http://www.registry-cleaner.net/pop-up-blocker.htm

for the ie pop up blocker , it is a good thing , its recomended to keep your blocker enabled , and you can allow the windows that you wich view :

CRTL + clik the link ..

I use two pop-up blockers on mine. I use the one built into IE 6 and google pop-up blocker as well and have never had a problem with pop-ups or getting to something that it did block that i wanted it to let pop-up since some websites do have things that either one of the blockers will block.

Most computer that run Windows XP and use IE have 2 or 3 pop blocker.. the native IE popup blocker (the only one you need) and then you get one with google toolbar/Yahoo toolbar... that comes with Flash Player isntallation.

To solve the problem, you can use FireFox instead of IE
or try to reinstall / Upgrade IE. Or search for any software which block popup in your computer.
