Bluetooth is meant for easy wireless operation with devices that have a limited amount of power (such as cell phones) and don't need a whole lot of bandwidth.
For a home network, Wifi is better, as power isn't a big factor, but the increased range and bandwidth of Wifi are important. Related topics
