http://www.snapfiles.com/get/nvu.html

good luck

You can also use the Composer of SeaMonkey.
Phil
Can't Word just "Save as a Web Page"? I do realize these results could be disastrous though.
I'm no big fan of WYSIWYG Editors, especially the free ones. They seem to stress me out more than help.
But, if you just have to have a one---
NVU is an OK one and Nando, a Firebird Extension, comes in handy.
I do think I'll give SeaMonkey a try. Sometimes, a WYSIWYG Editor can be helpful when editing pages with lot's of table cells or data.

I recommend NVU... it free open source... and almost close to dreamweaver... but dreamweaver it still the best... WYSIWYG editor
photon
NUV for me too... very competent and free. although dreamweaver is the best!

HTML Kits is also good.
Search Google for the download.

I agree, HTML Kit is just plain awesome. As a matter of fact, it's what I use.
The only problem is it's not a WYSIWYG editor.
If someone is looking for a WYSIWYG Editor to "Put something up quick" they are going to be very dissappointed in HTML Kit. The interface can be very intimidating to someone who doesn't know HTML. But for someone who is learning to take their time and learn HTML and HTML Kit, it can be very rewarding.

Use Microsoft Frontpage and use the Design view and its like a WYGIWYS Editor, and it gives you the html code in the coded view of it.
Ranfaroth
What M$ Frontpage will give you, it's an heavy, outdated, deprecated, and ugly HTML...
NG
use the editor in ur host easy and simple to use :l
drawzon

I have used nVu and am pretty happy with it, but then again I was pretty happy with Front Page Express when it was free!

Type your document in MS word

and save your document file type is web page. It is very easy one Laughing
Ranfaroth
And you won't obtain a web page, but something heavy, ugly, with more than 50% of useless and proprietary code.... it would be really stupid.

I didn't want to say that and seem harsh, but if your serious about HTML and care about doing it the right way, stay far away from Microsoft-very far.
If you don't care, hell, just go with MySpace.
htmlrules
my friend using NVU and says it is a really good program just go to
www.nvu.com
i hope that helps at least one person

SeaMonkey 1.1b has been released (and it has some composer-related bug fixes)

NVu , as far as i have used , is one of the best free open source editors available .

But , the fact is that , It is slightly HEAVY , as it is being built on the Mozilla's Base code .

Due to its portability , its raw power is not available . It is sucking up , in my system , as firefox .

Apart , from that , if u have more RAM , then , it is the best shot u have free .
loosu
The Bloating of Mozilla , code base , is due to using the GECKO rendering engine , which possess the platform independence .
