Quite an honest mistake actually, as I think the Japanese say R and L with the same sound or something, which is why that mistake probably happened, unless the image of it is a fake.

Yes, that's very possible - and I've been reading that site, quite damn amusing sometimes - though I'd expect somewhat higher standards from a corporation of Sony's size. Like, hmm, hiring someone that had an education connected with English, not IT. For example.

Well, those advertisements weren't meant for people who are racially sensitive, such as that in Europe. This post by webcomicologist, Tim Buckley, is focused around it, and you, and everyone else offended by this, should read this post.
get an xbox 360... ps3 sux its to expensive for no reason. I would only pay that much for it if it had something spectacualr which it doesnt. luray is gay and i just hate it all around. Xbox 360 FTW!
The Japanese (actually most asian, since this happens in Korean, too) Phonetics cause the "L" to be pronounced "R" when it's followed by Vowels, unless at the end of the word. Hence you have "Engrish".

Are you sure it's too expensive for reasons you don't like as opposed to being too expensive for no reason? Two things: Blu-ray and Cell. There, it is expensive for a reason. It doesn't matter whether we like it or not. There IS a reason it's expensive. Oh by the way, it's 100 dollars more than your premium 360 with all the same functionality + blu ray drive.

Why is Bluray gay? What does it need to have something spectacular? Movies? So are you saying DVDs and VHS suck because.. they're movies? Sounds like you hate it just because you're a Microsoft fan and Sony is their enemy. Really, I want to know what you think about HD-DVD. i was unimpressed with he XBox 360 i was continuously crashing and would even play alot of DVDs the whole way through. i'd sya it's a fake .
i do think sony is stupid though. most of the price of the ps3 has to do with the blue-ray drive, which is probably a few hundred dollors by itself. seriously, why do you need like 50GB of space anyway? i don't see any games this gen taking up that much sapce, unless they have like 20 hours of cutseens or something, then it would just be a movie with the ocasional moments where you actually get to interact with the enviroment

Besides, you can't make any comments about the PS3 just yet, because you haven't played it, and you can't say you have. Not only that but the PS3 is going to have a game I've been drooling over ever since the first 8 minute long trailer, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Solid Snake FTW.

Well, I actually am from Europe, and I really can't say I'm offended by it in any way at all, however, in my opinion, it does go a bit over the top and could be potentially a lawsuit fodder. However, in a way, it's simply a direct reflection of the very opposite side of the spectrum. At any rate, it's simply meant to be a provocative commercial, what with those being popular right now.
But basically, what I'm saying is that it's not really the best ad ever that I'd seen. Still, it does what it should do, that is, attract attention, and that's what ads are all about.
(And, I'll check out the link, despite not being offended *grin*)

Bluray is gay do to the fact it's a very expensive brand of media, at the moment, and will fall flat on it's face like Beta did.
Sony never picks the winner, never ever.
More realistic graphics need a large amount of storage. That must be the reason why they support the Blue-Ray Disc. But it can also read CD and DVD too.

It may be just a spelling mistake, but if it is true then it will show up Sony forever! No-one would look at the "Serect" button and not say something along the lines of 'hey, isn't that supposed to be "Select"?'. The answer would then be along the lines of "yeah, Sony majorly messed that one up".
Then again, this could even be a publicity stunt by Sony to try and match up to the renaming of the "Revolution" to "Wii". If it is, then it isn't going to work.

Or Blu-Ray will totally be taken out of compettition by HD-DVD making it pretty expensive and the PS3 pretty useless.

Do you think that PS3 Game developer will develop for graphics only. . . !?
Even it is an old or new school graphics it still needs some story and gameplay to be able to attract the attention of the customer/gamer.
