Website advice
I am just starting this website and I am in the very early stages of the design. Right now I have the basic layout figured out and I starting to work on the coding of the site now.
I would like some input about the layout of this site and any advice that anyone would like to offer.

Maybe make the navigation bar a little wider. You're going to run into problems as soon as you have a long word for one of your links. Also those pink and gray rounded corner backgrounds need a little work. Maybe run it through your graphics editor again and make sure you've got anti-aliasing turned on.
It is kind of hard to rate your design before seeing any real content, in my opinion. I can't tell if your design complements or fights with your content. What you have on there now looks okay I suppose, but right now it is just colored boxes. Design is about communicating ideas clearly--so right now gather content.
It does look like a good start, so keep it up!

One thing I dislike is the scrollbar in your ad unit, you'll want to get rid of that when you get ads.
