I was wondering if sprite comics and spritesheets are allowed because you have said that copyrighted images aren't allowed. Does this apply to sprites and official artwork of game characters and even game screenshots?

I think it applies to those things, too.
Unless it is one of those Sprite commercial adds. Then you might be able to get by on that one. Other than that, you need a printed document stating that you have permission to use the images. No matter what the FriHost rules say, though I would check with them as well.
