Oh, so you are limited based on the observation ability of your boss? I think reading and writing to these forums without being spotted is a good start
Anyway even with such a great invention as an internet your options are rather limited, try out some flash games out there or take some quiz/test. These are my suggestions(for internet)
*Join a online game community like WOW,KO,SRO etc...
*Post-Read more in Frihost.
*Try new PS(may be PHP,ASP etc..) projects.
*Go to Marketplace and Contests Forums so make the requirements and Get Frih$,kill your time. post on forums all day like scorpio

You could make a website, either for business or for educational purposes. Designing a website burns time. Try out different scripts. Design an animation.
Or, do something outdoors. play a sport

Right now I'm obsessed with making my own website. Frihost is the best I have seen. Really unbeleivable.
You could also read fiction. It is better to do a variety of things than just one or two. And reading will increase your creativity as well as inprove your english.
Why not set up your own website. You can get free hosting from FriHost.
Learn a bit of html, get a webpage editor, FTP software and the world is your oyster.
That should kill a bit of time. Plenty of advise is available on other forums.
You just have to get your brain in gear.

You may also try to do more exercise, you would probably know how good for building up your body figure when you some day grown up....it also helps you have a good health...more importantly, sports could make you spritually healthy also.. at least, you may not easily to get bored.

Don't kill your time just by internet...
Reading is a good choice, especially read a historical book, kill time and help for your sleep...
second choice is clean or re-arrange your room, but it took a little of your energy...
the third choice is to do some sports, like baseball or basketball, good for your healthy and kill time, but suck your energy so heavy and force you go to bed early...
the last choice is to play a game... but it not only took your energy, but also suck your attention... so I dont really like to play a game to kill time... if you really like to, go to www.reflexive.com and download some Mini Game to relax...
still, if you know programming, try to program a game for yourself... that will be the Final Time-Killing & Suicide Plankilling time aint much a problem to me... i always try to find something to do when i strarts to get bored... if there is an internet on the nearby aream, i'd go there and chat or joins the forums or play games (online or network game)... i also play billiards (one of my best pastime)... or i just read books or mags... or simply watch TV / movies or listen to music...
There are a zillion games you can try. My favorite pasttime is messing with photo and paint shop. There are lots of ways to kill time on the pc.
Join a fantasy sports league (like Yahoo) for a sport you don't know then after the season is done you will virtually know everything about the sport.

Blow a load of time of clicking on the frihost user's sig links to see whats going on, (found a bunch of interesting stuff too).

Take your favorite game and make a fan page about it, (big time killer)
just to name a few. just don't waste your time in chatrooms ... its non-productive and you dont ever learn anything new.

When I'm bored at the workplace, I just do some of these things:
- Browse the net about hardware equipment and the recommendations people give on certain sites
- I download the newest www.tuxmagazine.com and read it from cover to cover
- I buy a book in a foreign language and try hard reading it AND understand it
- I call people on skype or voipbuster
- I write emails to people I haven't met in ages
- I check my bank account
- I browse ebay
- I walk around and talk to other bored people............
- I actually read some training manuals for my job ( not kidding... I'm very proud)
- I check my calendar to ensure that I already met my next vacation
- I check my timesheet to see if I can leave office early... take up programming... start with visual basic and then try c++ or java or php...
I find that I can kill a lot of time simply by reading the headlines. I like CNN.com and news.bbc.co.uk. They give a wide selection of news stories as well as different perspectives of the same story. A not only will you be killing time, but you'll be learning a thing or two as well. Good luck!

I would like to tell you that killing time it's not an good idea...
Internet is big and it not only kills your time, but also ruin your life if you are always using it (Except if its for working) Like I will really suggest you to get an hobby, learn how to play an instrument, do some sports, go out side see friends etc etc...
But, my friend, trust me that its really not an good idea to kill time like that

I play online flash games to kill them, just google the words 'free online flash game' and you are bound to find a few of them out there. Also, I draw cartoons when I am free too, just to entertain myself.

Try to create a Game in any programmer language... It's very hard and you kill enough time... I’d say reading is a good thing. If you’re not that interested in books, you can try writing or drawing. Chatting online is great too, make more friends! ^__^ There’re lot of things you can do in the net. Try looking for puzzles and riddles. It's fun and can enhance knowledge.
I'm not a big one on mobile games but I recently downloaded two really addictive games to my mobile: Trivial Pursuit mobile and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? I highly recommend both games as they are interesting and you are learning some fun trivia while you are wating.
There are a lot of things that you can do to kill time. I mean, not literally but to be more productive I must say. You just need an extra imagination to do some stuffs. Why not try writing and publishing your own webcomic? Or maybe designing your own website on a topic you're passionate about, as some members have already suggested. The internet is probably overcrowded when it comes to content, but it can be pretty fun to create something and put it out there.

i ususally find i am most on need of killing time when i have an exam or something and here is where something called Facebook really hit me hard. It's like a university specific version of Myspace.
Also wikipedia is a great usage of spare time. There's just so much to learn off of there, and who knows, you may even be able to improve/add to something on there!
I mananged to add to quite a lot of the wikis put on there; check out Mechano Electric Feedback for example (you can restart the heart by giving it a thump in lieu of the defibrillators you see on ER etc, which are inly effective 40% of the time and are not suitable for all). PS i' a geeky med student hence the wierd interests.
to kill some time, there is nothing better than learning a foreign language. go on the internet, pick up some random phrases in a latin based language and then try reading some foreign papers online. the speed at which you'll learn is amazing, and no doubt you'll impress some people along the way!
when procastination kicks in, just go over the net, surf about anything and you may find something that will inspire you to do something!

like others have said, learn a programming language whether new like php or c++, or old like quickbasic it is kinda fun. I killed about a week at the beginning of summer re-versing myself on borland pascal, and it was fun because in the end i accomplished something, i added a few levels in an old dos game i made years ago.

But exercising in a gym or a sportsclub join an orchester if you can play an instrument. Or start taking some kind of class.
One of my favorite pasttimes is cooking and baking. This is nice and their is often some kind of bonus when you are finished.

Try reading books? That really makes boredom goes away for me. And the best thing is I don't need electricity for it.
Like this morning there was a fault with a power cable in our street and I didn't have electricity for the whole day, so I just kept reading book after book and really, I felt its not that bad without electricity.

The best way to kill time is with an elaborat trap involving nets, bullants and steak knives. You'll spend so much time setting up the trap by the time it's done you won't need it.

I used to do that all the time but I always got caught. A great way to relieve stress in school is to get involved in the Theatre Arts. Seriously, even if you think it's not for you. It is a great way to relieve stress because you can exhaust it on your performances. Also it is a good time waster waiting for classes (memorizing lines and monologues and such even if you're not assigned to)I mud in my free time. MUDs are text-based RPG games. Although they don't have graphics, they're still surprisingly addictive.

I play Warcraft-Dota (Defense of the Ancient) to kill time.
There are many things that comes into my mind during my idle times. I think much of how to keep myself busy and the first thing that came off my mind is Internet. That's what i usually do when killing my time, checking out my emails, my friendster and enhancing my websites.
When i mess out around my PC, i get around and hang out with my friends, go out to play basketball and playing some stupid and lovely songs..
If am still that bored with them, i go out for a trip to have some movie marathon or have some window shopping just to make myself busy.
Anyways, these are some of the things that I do when i feel like empty and bored.
