Long Distance Cycling- LEJOG

Telnven
Hopefully I have put this post, in the correct category. Anyway has anyone out there done Land's End to John o' Groats or LEJOG. In one week, myself and my school will be taking the trip and helpful comments; or general information would be useful. Such as what to avoid.

However comments such as train hard, don't worry, etc. is not what I'm asking for. Your help would be much appreciated and very welcome.

Some general information can be found at:

That is awesome, good luck for it! I have no real experience in massive distances. The most I've done in a day is ~150km but that was going as a pace. I've done a cycling camp with school which was around 300 km in about 5 days and I guess the most important thing was just eating properly and never discounting rest mainly sleep. But if you are about to ride 1400 km you will probably know what you're doing. If you don't, just pedal:P

Have a great time!
