That’s slightly vague, I also think your going about making a site in the wrong way. If you wish to make a site popular you should really base it upon a subject that you are interested in and have a good knowledge of the subject/topic, as this is the best way to write the content because it will then be:
1) Easier to write
2) Written in a way that shows you’re interested in the topic (visitors like this)
3) Will be of higher quality
So I would say that you should really pick a topic that you have a good knowledge and understanding of as well as an interest for the reasons shown above.
