newton and his apple

sujan
how interesting isnt it
an apple fell down from the tree and newton found the property of gravity.
he was too genious. can we be?
Balthamos
Well, that depends; are you a genius? Laughing The way I look at it is that back then not much was known about the world, physics, and so forth. I think we have pretty much learned it all, and there isn't anything left. Then again, the genius figures out the unknown or clouded, no?

The apple was only a tool! He thought about 30 year(Actually I don't know) and finally an apple helped him... If the apple hadn't fell to his head it may think 3 years to find it logically(by theories) . Anyway I love genius people and I think we can be Cool

selim, what's a language moderator?

That's only a mith.
Year's and years of hard work leads Newton to this conclusion.
nopaniers
I think the apple is a myth. Newton was following in the footsteps of other great scientists of his day, such as Kepler, working with astronomical data.

And to Balthamos, there are lots of open physics problems still. Some of them include:

Can we unify general relativity and quantum mechanics?
How should we understand quantum mechanics, in particular how do we understand measurements?
How do high temperature superconductors really work, and can we make one at room temperature?
Can we build a quantum computer?
Can we always solve the Navier-Stokes equations (the equations which govern how liquids flow)?
Will the universe go on forever?
Why is there an arrow of time (entropy)?
What is dark matter?
Do gravity waves exist, and how do we detect them?
Is Hawking radiation real?
Why are the laws of physics not symmetric (why is there more matter than antimatter, more electrons than positrons)?
Why do particles have the masses they do?
Why are the fundamental constants what they are?
Does string theory, m-theory, or quantum loop gravity predict anything useful?

A Language Moderator; helps Frihost members to take their accounts... They post in their language and we moderate and check their messages.. Take a look:
Language Forums
Every language has moderators! I'm the Turkish Forum's moderator... BTW:Please ask your questions by P.M

My teacher always tell us, in my engineering program:

Today, you have got the same IQ than Einstein had when he lived.

He says that a small amount of IQ is added to each new generation...

So, basically, we are supposed to be more intelligent than Newton was.

Newton was gay, apparently a fruit went down on him.

LOL Laughing Laughing I agree with you.

oh god the logic of all those theories are so complex. I especially hated quantum mechanics. Not my forte.

That's what I've been thought too, it's just a myth. But the fruit theory sounds plausible Smile

I think that Newton has hardest job to convince other people. People of that time was totaly orthodox...

Galileo got shafted just as bad with his theory of relativity. Eventually, the church was all like "if you leave your house, we'll kill you" and he was put under house arrest.

Yeah that Galilean relativity, what made him think it was yellow?

Apple story is interesting. I thinks this "nature" was calling him to reveal its theory before others

through Newton
