Banned words on server side?

Citizen Kane
Ok, I'm having a bit of a weird problem here.

I'm running a weblog with Wordpress for a while and started to add other bloggers as links. Wordpress has a section in the admin interface for this. Some lines where you can fill in the URL, name of the link and a roll-over discription.

I wanted the following URL and name of the link:

URL: www.renesmurf.nl
Name: Smurf

But when I try to add the link, I get this message in a blank new window:

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/link-manager.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "

I'm certain that it's not the wordpress software, as other users have added the same link and got it added the first time.

Also, I found out that it only gives this message if the URL or name or even description contains the word Smurf. "Smurf" seems to trigger the Error message. In both the URL, name of the link AND description fields of input.

So WHAT is going on? can somebody tell me? As I'd REALLY like to show the link...

First of all, I highly doubt the server has anything against the word "Smurf", there are also no banned words on the server you are hosted on.

It's definately a permission problem, at least that's what the error says.

However the website you mentioned doesn't seem to be hosted on Frihost.

Steve, you're right about the permissionproblem. What causes it though I don't know.

True, the URL I mentioned isn't on Frihost, but that shouldn't matter should it? It might be a plugin I installed to stop spam, but after deactivating it I got the same Error page.

So, if no banned words on the server, I think I'll try to delete the plugin completely and than try to add the link.

Weird problem if you ask me...

See you moved the question to another topic. It is indeed a problem with the wordpress sorftware. Even if I delete the plugin for wordpress, I still get the error message.

I'm at a loss for words here. And actions too. ... Anyone with the same problems and foud a workaround?
