I'm an amatuer freelance photographer, and I consider myself an overall Nature, Wildlife, and Scenery Photographer, but I do snap the rare portrait, even if it isn't my preferred genre. Why thank you for your warm welcome! Maybe chivalry isnt quite so dead. Lol. But anyways, I have to wait till I get access to my PC with Photoshop to get it up and running, I'm going to design the whole thing myself, no premades or anything. @_@ God help me. Lol. But, in any case, I have alot of it on my College Portfolio, if its still up. Starflier my love took a one month break from the computer, so everything kinda fell apart, but if they're still hosting, then that's good.

Oh believe me, chivalry is dead. Bold plan you have, creating a site from scratch. But it is fun to do so. Nothing like leaning back and being satisfied with you hard work afterwards. I've taken a look at your portfolio and I must admit that it looks a lot better than the things I photograph in my holiday's. I see you favour central and diagonal compositions. I also see a lot of photographs with reflections and strong dark / light contrasts. Look's nice.
My portfiolio was harrrrrrd to make. Took me 6 weeks. But, I love it. I love the floating green blob look, although I am not sure why. I like green. Green is good. XD. To be fair, you seem to have enough chivalry left in you. XD And yes, as long as its not overkill, central is not a bad thing. Lol.
