I loved this movie, it was really awsome, I also loved the fact that the sou d the machiens made, pure awsomeness.
the aliens look realistic, and the whole thing was placed togather very well.
This is the best movie i seen this summer Ep III was alright batman begins was good.
To me, the setting was just too dark. I think "Ray" (the main character), ran away too much. Their was too much running and too little fighting. I wasn't satisfied when I walked out of the theater, although, I had to admit, it was quite a suspenseful movie.
i havent seen this movie yet but everyone says its the best movie of the year
i'll go see it soon... by looking at the reviews/trailors i rate it as a 8/10

That's definitely a great movie. Those tripods are so scary! And Dakota is lovely .
Spielberg has done an incredible work with War of the worlds. it was very good but i dont think it beat sw3 that was insane
No offense to everyone who LOVED this movie but...I only found it okay. Don't get me wrong, the special effects and animation were amazing but....there a good few holes in the story and the ending really spoilt the show. It was too abrupt and the son definitely should have DIED!!!!

Yeah, the movie is not like the best of al times, but it entertains the audience with all that 'hunting and killing humans' thing. It gets a little boring at some point, but it's okay.
I particularly didn't like the ending though... Too much confusing... 
It was a terrific movie! The effects, the acting. The ending was a little confusing, and I thought it could have been better.
I LOVED THIS MOVIE! I saw a lot of movies called War of the Worlds but this one was THE BEST! It was alright. The special effects were great, but the movie overall wasn't extraordinary. The "Dad, I have to see this. Let me go" part was definitely hokey. I'd give this movie 3/5 stars.
