Hey I have just about finesed my new site www.wunkunk.com and am just wanting some opions on the design and layout of the site as well as any suggestions for improvements.

Nice, clean site, and a good idea, but I found a few problems:
Good luck.
- Make the content position seem less random, like making take up all of the space between the menu and the edge of the header. For some reason your send link page has it right, but the other pages do not.
- I just don't find the menu design appealing, sorry.
- Consolidate "About Us," "The Genii," "Contact Us" and possibly "FAQ." At least move FAQ from the footer, as no one is going to look for that there.
- Speaking of footer, why is there a contact link there and in the main menu? Just choose one.
- Black links? Oh come on.
- Perma-links to individual links would be nice
- The header is functional, but really just meh. Put a bit more effort into it, or just don't use one. I think you could get away with just some big text.

1) Now you mention it, it does seem to blend in slightly. I will have a go at making it stand out better.
2) I'm not sure about this one but I will make a smaller one and compare to see which I prefer.
3) Yes they are slightly large. I had problems deciding on what to write to make them smaller and still understandable to visitors. I will be making another menu soon as one of the "dots" isn’t in line but I'm not sure if I should change it to something different due to noexes89 comment about it not been appealing, what do you think?

the menu seems rather large in comparison to everything else. as others have said, shrink the font abit. While simple designs are great, i think you need a little more color in the page, maybe tint all the white towards gray a bit. The header seems to need more continuity. Some kind of unifier to relate all of the images. The way that they are now, it dosen't seem to focus attention in any one place.
Additionally, with colors make sure you dont use too much, when you do use them. you need accent colors for yours. Take a look at how the colors are matched on my site for some ideas on relating colors: http://www.ritzydesign.com/

I'm sorry for being vague. Here's something concrete: steal a list style from listamatic. You'll notice that they include horizontal lists, I think that would be a good idea as well.

Yes, by consolidate I mean merge. I think all of the things I mentioned ("About Us," "The Genii," "Contact Us" and possibly "FAQ.") all tell information about the site beyond the main content of the site, so to simplfy your menu it they would be best together.

Well, blue is the standard. Just choose something other than black, as the rest of the text is black and you need to make links look different than normal text. Look at the links page, how am I supposed to tell what text is a link?

You know, sometimes I use blog terminology without realising that no one understands what the heck I'm talking about. I was talking about being able to link to an individual "wunkunk" from another site, instead of just the page that it is on. This might be kind of hard to implement, so you probably don't have to do this, but it would make your site seem more professional.

Yes I think I agree now that the menu is a bit big and I have taken the advice of noexes89 to look at listamatic which I have and I found a menu that I kind of like and edited it to suit my site better, I have tested it here: www.ryan.ashst.com/wunkunk/

Ok I see what you mean, they do already have grey rollovers but I think they do need something to make them stand out as links but I wanted to stay away from the standard blue so I will have a play around with a few colours but I may still end up going with the blue.

This does seem like a nice idea but as you say it might be hard to implement! But I will certainly look into it.

It's ok no worries, but I'm a fan of images in banners even though I'm not the best at creating them .

Yes when I get the design sorted I will go through the code.
I like it, its simple, light, goes to the point. I give it an 8.5
