there a few big fan of him in my school, i personally think he is not that good if u every heard of his voice with normal mic nonedited, and i just don't like the way he sings

Yeah, many asians know him in Australia but he's not that "popular/likeable" since we have other american and asians songs to compare him with. Doesn't really stack up to the competition, tho I like the style, its very different from the west in some aspects. But the music productions seems a bit "simple".
I live in Hong Kong and I like him very much, his musical talent is very good, his songs are nice and popular. I like them all.
girls and chinese guys at my place dig him. but i think he's just plain lame and gay.
