The best science forum in the world!

DoctorBeaver
For serious, and not-so-serious, science - http://nakedscientists.com

Quantum theory to medicine, geology to flatulence... it's all there.

It is run in conjunction with a radio show, podcasts and live events.

Founded by Dr Chris Smith (lecturer in virology at Cambridge university) we have experts from all fields of science to answer your questions, or maybe you can answer other people's.

If you like science, and especially if you have a sense of humour, check it out!

Looks interesting Smile I'll have to spend sometime over there. Was a little disappointing to not see a separate biology forum, just an environmental one.

Any idea how many active members on there?

Wow, it seems you once did a report about "a girl who suddenly burst into flames on the stairs at school". Shocked

Seems like a nice serious forum.

Anyway, could it be that you already posted a link to that website a few months ago? I remember visiting it.

I've been looking for a good forum of this type; I'll sign up soon.
I'll use it to help along the development of my genetic modeling software, and other projects...

I don't remember so-doing but it's possible. If so, I apologise.

Hobo - there are 82 pages of members' names with 40 names per page. Not all of those are still active, though.

Oh I'm not saying you shouldn't have posted the link.

To be honest, the forums look nice and the members quite intelligent (most of them at least), which is quite rare on the internet. The only thing that is currently keeping me from becoming a member is a lack of time.

let's go and see! Cool

wow, it actually look like a serious one, unlike the one I joined before which is like not seorious.

Thanks for this Smile

The interface is a little too dry for my liking, but the drama outweighs the emotion...

btw, there are only 3303 members, not reall that many when you think about, I was a member of one forum with 148,046 members!!!

forums.offtopic.com there are some serious discussion on there too, but I rarely go, also
