So who is going to be the first player picked in the NBA Draft? This has to be one of the weaker drafts in a while.
NBA Draft
I disagree about this being that weak of a draft. There are less A type players than usual, but there are more B type players than usual.
Well I live in Toronto and after the draft I am not quite sure what to think.
We had the first pick in what they called a "weak draft". Weak or not there will be some exceptional players that come out of it. You just have to make sure you find the right ones. How do you do that? Well of course it is hopefully through forsight. That is tough to pull off and since we had the first pick we had tohave the best forsight and pick the best player as we saw fit.
Now, did we? I really am not sure about that. I think we had a big influence from our new assistant GM who just happens to be freshly over from Italy and who has seen the number one play for years and of course is going to be biased. I hope he wan't too biased to a degree that it affects the team. I would not have picked him, but maybe that is why I am not a GM. I would have gone for a player who has been playing in North America for his duration in a so called "weak draft". Are there good european players? Absolutley, but this guy would not have been drafterd one any other year so I think he was only number one from outside influences, the assistant GM.
I beleive in Brian Colagelo due to his track record so I am going to say he did a good move but only time will tell

Italian Andrea Bargnani. If you have time to post that question, it was easy to look up.

Well he is good enough to go first overall. He is 7'1" and has a great shot, but the italian league was not a style of play he is going to have to play in the nba. His post is not good and he does not attack the rim. Neither does Dirk Nowitzki either so we will see.
I would not have taken a risk on a kid who has to change his game to get better, but a kid who has to improve on his already current knowledge

True...but Dirk Nowitzki has attacking been attacking the rim in the post season. LOL
lets see what will happen in the new season. By the way, Andrew Bogut's from Australia and didn't turned out to be that explosive.
I think Portland raked it in this draft. They picked up a ton of talent and balanced their team out. Now all they need to do is get rid of Zach Randolph and Darius Miles.

hahah...but they really raked this draft of course!
It seems 2006 is the year of European players! I think this draft session isn't good enough, there is nobody who is a Superstar like LeBron, Carmela Anthony etc... They are young too but they have a charismatic look. So I'm not interesting about drafts now.
WEll I don't know about the size of the draft- if this was weak or strong, but It's the first time that Europan player selected in the first choise.
it's nice for the Europan Basketball (the player from Beneton Trevizo).

the Sixers messed up trading Tabho the swedish guy the one in corn rows. Sorry if i misspeled his name but as wat i see its the sixers need because tabho is a good defensive and offensive player his a potential good player!
