Online Gaming: Paying for Power Levelling and Gold
I just caught the following ad on the bottom of a FriHost topic:
And wondered what everyone's opinion was on the subject of paying (real world) money for others to level up your character or give you gold, or other advantages in online games.
Personally I think it defeats the entire point of playing the game. Most games keep you interesting by a process of task > reward. If you just get the reward surely you lose interest in the task. It also spoils the fun for people who are trying to play the game properly.
Thoughts?

Seconded. But I think they are idiots anyway, as they lose money, lose the experience of levelling up properly and get uber characters on what is at the end of the day, just a game. It is unfair on the other players, though.
