FREEWILL, DO YOU REALLY WANT IT?

We r the SYC
Speaking purly as a Christian who wants God to do anything with his life......, would u mind if God no-longer gave u freewill?

If u just asked him to chnage u to be a his total servant...., if he would..... would u ask him too.... freewill has many tramendous badsides.... as well as many good.....

If ur not a christian or have not given God full control of your life.... this question is not 4 u

It depends what you've been determined to won't.

Most Christians would say "Well, duh, easy! I would go for God." But being a total servant of God isn't so easy. For instance, if Abraham was to serve God, he was required to leave his home and family, and the security associated with them. If Moses was to be a servant of God, he would have to face many trying, stressful, and seemingly endless problems.

And there are a few more examples all throughout the Bible of the not-so-great side of devoting your life to God. Of course, the benefits are endless, but still...

I really don't have an answer, I would try my best for God I think... But we'd just have to see.

I would love to serve God with my whole life, ut I would like it to be my personal decision. If I was taken away my free will, this decision would be no longer mine... However, I try to search for the God's will everytime I make a decision. And I know that those decisions taken with the help of God would always be the best for me. Wink

It's quite possible that it's kind of both and that we'll never truly understand it. Truly it's all God's will, but to us it feels like our own will and our own choice.

We need to accept God and be thankful for him in our lives and when Christ is in us, by nature we will want to do the things that are naturally pleasing to God. But then again, this is all God's will right?

In short, we must put our trust in God and go about our life as a Christian should walk, showing all things with God's love.

I think for me it would take something out of being a Christian. It's something like a forced marriage... It would still be a marriage, but some of the magic would be gone.

The first word out of our mouths is "of course" we'd be happy to choose God, but if you actually sit down and think about it, a lot of christians would choose freewill over God. A lot of christians are just christians on the outside, that's the sad part.
