I have the feeling that not alot of people will goto hell........,
the general idea is that "bad" people goto hell.......and "good" people goto heaven.......
i do not belive god will allow "christians only" into heaven......,
Hell i think will and is for people who truly reject God and all he offers and gives..., not ppl that simple dont belive but thoose who really hate God..., CS Lewis (famous auther) used the inalergy (i think the word is) "the doors of hell will be locked from the inside",
there is the argument that if ur names not in the "book of life" u'll goto hell...., thing is ntohing has ever sed that "christianity" is the ONLY way to get ur name into that book...., there are still millions of people who do not belive in God or are in other beleifs but still show all the "traits" of a full on follower of God and their lifes unknowing obviously serving God...,
I belive on the day of judgement it will not be too late for u to accept God, We now and here cant say they dident choose to accept God while they were on earth, because its our "job" to bring God and his messege to all nations fo the world..., and we havent been everywhere yet...., many people have a bad perception of God but that dosent make them unworthy of heaven.
So many people belive that wen u die you go straight to hell if your "bad"..... but i belive in Reverlations it hink it is, it says we fall into a dreamless sleep untill the day of final judgement. on that day.... God says he will judge us on ur lifes...., given the ammount of christians compared to the rest of the world, if only "good true" christians got in. heaven would be very empty (speaking for myself, i dout id be there),
i belive if someone came before god and saw him wonderful love and so forth and begged for mecry i think he would not send them to a place of pain that they do not want to goto...., If u hate god why would u want to spent eternity with him....., most people who dont belive in God have Never known or had the full optertunity TO know him...., reading this is not an excuse to wait till the end and THEN accept him.... thinking u can just take advantage of his Grace and love....,
For now i belive hell is empty and aside from a few prophets in the bible drawn str8 to heaven by God b4 dying, heaven is also empty of people.
the final battle is still being faught out here on earth, total "frag" count at the end.
alot of your life to add stuf like
"bad people goto hell, good people goto heaven. thats all there is !", please dont post stuff like that, if you are please also suppy an explanation to explain your reply.
God has left haeven to defend and find his people on earth, Satan is not yet in hell, and is also here to capture and corrupt people for his evil plans to be higher than God...,
*note my notorious for bad spelling, plz dont dis
Maybe... maybe...
You seem to have given this a lot of thought, but really there's no way of knowing.
I think about alot of things like this, however I am very rarly taken seriously so slot of it is wasted...
Well keep in the mind that has been billions of people that have lived on this planet, and a lot of them were not that good. So keep that in mind.
Define hell...
i know... there are numerous deffinitions for it... but what is yours?
It's an interesting question really. In the Bible, it says those who do not have a relationship with God through Jesus will go to Hell. Jesus reminds us of this when he says "I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me."
But when Jesus' second coming occurs, also known as "Judgement Day" or the rapture, there is a time period before the end of the world. I believe many churches refer to it as "tribulation." It is at this time that Satan is running the world while all the believers are taken into Heaven. This gives those non-believers a second chance, a chance to change their beliefs, and eventually get into heaven.

In Islam, god says that not even many muslims are going to enter Paradise, most of them are not gonna immediately enter paradise cause they weren't good muslims, and that not all those who aren't muslims are going to hell, some of them are going to paradise, even before many muslims, simply because they were better persons. The main criteria here os that of being a pure and good person, which not easy at all!!!! And following the principles and teachings of religion is there to help you reach these states, some people just are blessed by god, either are they Christian or jew, some of them atheist, but he loves them cause he made them good. Many muslims are bad persons, many Christians are bad persns, many Jews are bad persons. And I'm not excluding myself. So I hope this has answered your question.
The thins is no one can know if he's a good perosn or no, inly god knows, so we just have to do averything we can, and stay that way, be our whole life perseverant, never give up or be tempted (at least want it and try it).
There is no hell... well if you want you can say that now here on earth you get hell enough sometimes... so basically hell is now... but no one is going to hell... and not only the good go to heaven... what is heaven anyway and what is "good". ... I dont believe in heaven and hell... I believe in the spiritual life, in our soul and in God, Buddha. Allah or however you want to call "it". We are all here to learn.. Some will take longer, some will be faster... I believe, we have gone through many lifetimes already, before we came here and we will keep going through them, until we find our spirituality and truly find the way "home"... but honestly: everybody has to make up his own truths... nobody can really tell you... thats the work we all have to do here... thats why we are still here and asking ourselves those questions.

are you aware that the bible never actually says anything about a relationship with anyone?

Doesn't it?

Job seems to have a friendship with God, and a friendship is a form of relationship is it not?

sorry, I should have been more specific, in the context soulfire is talking about, a personal relationship with jesus to get out of hell.
How long is a piece of string? It's all relative.
It's impossible to tell, because even amongst Christians, each denomination will tell you that only their followers are going to heaven and everyone else is going to hell.
How do you know you are not in hell right now? There are whole philosophies built around this type of thinking. For example if I treat other people badly, it'll come back to 'haunt' me one day - isn't that my personal hell?
Really, I do find this kind of question interesting, but I don't think that it can be answered in any kind of satisfying way.
I think that it will be a billion or more people. Didn't Lucifer (???) make a promise to take people to hell ...

not that I know of, but theres a large probablity I'm wrong on that one. But would you really count on a promise from the father of all lies?
thing is, theyd go willingly. I dont think that full-on atheistism would stop someone getting into heaven...., however..... God has warned us now is the time to belive......
Hello; could those with strong Christian beliefs explain the conditions America today; the war in Iraq and the unimaginable greed of industries ties to Christian nutcase Bush? Do you simply believe because they are Christian they deserve the splendor that IS their lives and others are to serve them? I really want to know as America has far too much violence that I'd like to imagine but claims to be a Christian nation. How does all that work?
Thanks,
Carolyn
The answer to your question is simple. How do you know there is a hell? what makes you think that there is such a place out there? The bible right? Well if you believe part of the bible then you have to believe the whole bible. You can't just say "Oh, I'll just believe part of something" and not the whole thing...
Therefore, if you DO believe in the bible, then the answer simple. The bible tells is very clearly who will go to hell.
the bible says that those who KNOW THE TRUTH about his second coming and choose to ignore the facts will be eternally lost. Does this mean that he WANTS us to go to hell? No.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Matthew 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
He wants us to live forever, but if we choose to ignore him - wow, it's like a story I heard once,
This man and his two sons were in a boat. they were fishing quite a ways off shore. Well one of the songs thought it would be fun to go swimming. So without asking his dad, he jumped into the water. His dad knew something they didn't. He knew there were sharks in the water that time of year. He called his son back but the son just laughed and said, "You just don't want me to have any fun!". His dad saw the sharks behind his son. The kid just kept swimming. The sharks were almost next to his son, but no matter how much he yelled at him, the son wouldn't listen.
well the father did the only thing he could - he cut off his hand and stuck it in the water to draw the sharks away from his son. He pleaded with his son to get back in the boat. Beyond this point, there is nothing he can do for his son if the son decides not to listen. It's the same thing with Jesus. He tried to tell us not to sin, but we did anyway. He died on the cross and just asked us to believe in him and be saved. If we choose not to listen beyond this point, there is nothing he can do. It's our decision.
Oh my word, don't get me started. I'll go for 3 hours.
I encourage you to look at this website - it provides a lot of answers to a lot of questions.

I'm a Seventh Day Adventist. ( http://www.adventist.org/ ) We believe in following the ENTIRE bible, not just parts. That includes Exodus 20, "remember the sabbath day to keep it holy, six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work, but the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God. In it you shall do no work, nor your manservant nor your maidservant... " If you have any questions at all about the bible or our religion, please email me at " maxtoid@gmail.com "
If you believe in the bible, then the end of time is near. There is sooo much proof that the bible is real and what is says is real.
man, I'm gonna preach a sermon here lol
Just email me if you have any questions. I'd be happy to answer any. And if you believe that something I have said here is false, do reply. Actually, start a new post about it. as long as you believe in the bible, then I'll debate it. and even if you don't believe in the bible, I'll still debate it lol
That's all for now,

Wow! Go Maxtoid! I would quote your post but it is so darn long and so darn good. Congratulations are in order for you. *applauds*

Actually, you're misinformed there. Protestants, for example, believe that everyone go to heaven as long as they accept and love God, accept that Jesus is our saviour and are willing to repent for their sins. You don't necessarily even have to go to church, let alone practise the protestant faith. But those who do live a good Christian life involving worship are closer to God than those who do not.
