Grapics Card compatible?

I have a Dell Dimension 3100 with these specs. I have 2 PCI and 1 PCI-X bays left.

Could I install an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or greater or an ATi Radeon 8500 or greater.

My board has an Intel Graphics chipset with onboard graphics, would I need to get another motherboard with an NVIDIA or an ATi chipset if I upgraded?

you can install any pci-e graphics card. I think 5700 supports only agp architecture, so you make sure that it's pci-e
otherwise, any card, even 7800 will do.

Ya .. as said i think its AGP.. not PCI-E.. Umm yeah try for something higher maybe Smile

Pretty much any PCIe card should work. You should not have a problem, just don't buy an AGP card as it won't fit!
