like having http://"yourownsite".com or other ".ph" a
nd that can control its DNS.. like using other host..

just post it here guys if you find something like this...

NO there is NO such thing as a free TLD.
It is impossible to get one unless you get involved in half a dozen scams
If you want to do that, then go ahead

There is already a dozen topics dealing with this question and you'd do better to go and look in one of them instead of starting another topic like this

First 6 months they don't put any ad to your website.But After 6 months they add a navigation bar to the top.

Hardware, why is that needed ??

I dont think any advanced hardware is needed unless you plan on making a site which you expect to get hundreds of thousands of hits

Otherwise the normal stuff is enough

I too run one on my computer as hl9881 said and i run it only on the normal machine that I ve got(p4 3ghz)

and it works perfectly

At one point several months ago, at eurodns.com, they were offering .be domains for free, you didn't even have to give your credit card number. I registered about 15 .be domains to take advantage of the offer. I think .be is from Belgium. I just cared that it's a top-level domain. Maybe the deal will show up again sometime soon.
