Ive hated him for so long, now that he is stepping down, I realize.. he's my hero! I love you Bill!
-story-
Just out of curiosity, what was your reason for hating him? The fact that he created Microsoft?
Well, even if he is stepping down, it doesn't mean Microsoft is closing down and no more versions of Windows will ever be developed... or Internet Explorer... or any other Microsoft product for that matter.
Stepping Down?? is there something I do not know?? Bill Gates is definetly the most influential man in modern age, so he will not step down never.
Damn, you beat me to it with that news
.
I wanted to post it first..a pity that the guy is stepping down..health is still more important than anything anyway
.
He really did influence the IT industry alot
.
Without windows, there woudnt have been this much penetration of computers into personal life.. for that kudos to bill.. but the thing he did to the other upcoming companies...
I feel it's a good move for Gates. He's always mentioned how he's actually unhappy with his money, and that he's trying to get rid of it; That's partly the reason why Microsoft loses like 150 dollars for every Xbox 360 console that's sold... But yeah, maybe him doing charity work or what have you may really make him happier.

I envy you. You probably have no need to use any of Microsoft's products, else you wouldnt ask that question, a mac user, i bet.

hmmm, tough problem he has there, Id like to volunteer to help im out with that. Im good at getting rid of money.
We now need a new name from MS to aim our wrath at!
I think that he is one of the most pure person thats well-known. He is so rich yet seems so down to earth. I think that this will be a good thing as he wants to focus on his charity long-term more which shows his morals are in the right place. Its estimated that he gives 1 billion dollars ($1 billion) to charity each year and in his life he's expected to give away 90% of his wealth altogether - now that is a big heart.
