Whenever I go to a site that contains a Java applet with Firefox I am unable to open the applet (I get a little picture of a page with a red X in the top left corner of where the applet should be) and Firefox crashes. If I use Internet Explorer, the page works fine. Any ides why this dosen't work?

Perhaps you should install the Java plugin for Mozilla / Firefox? Click on the ring of dots in the top-right corner to find out more!
... or try to re-install your JVM.
