When our team(Russia) can't beat Slovakia in last match of preliminary stage and don't pass to head-to-head matches(and Slovakia do) and when few days later news that Slovakia meet Spain in this match is out, I told in our local forum: "Don't cry, guys. Even we pass Slovakia we have absolutely NO chance against Spain. They strong. Eceptionally striong". Few weeks later Spain tear to tatters Slovakia(1:1(out)/5:1(home)). Now Ukraine cast down. Think Spain will pass to quarter-final at least.

I think it is a strong team in this world cup though. They have the chance to go for final.

Yeah It was a quite good surprise..I thought Ukraine might win it but Spain played ambitious and deserved the score...May be Ukraine deserved one goal but I think yesterday They were really unlucky.

I feel really sorry for shevchenko...one of the best strikers in the world never before had a decent run in any major world tournament.

And what was that ass-grabbing sending off incident about? The referee was either homophobic or blind.

I seriously hope arsenal get torres...though that would leave us with 5 amazing strikers:p...

Tremendous result for Spain, beating 4 goals in a world cup is amazing. But, that's not the way to reach the final, so brilliant start said something about their form: it is now completely at the highest level. I think that is because of the expectation of the Spain supporters, players are feared of unsuccess in the preliminary round.

They had very long and hard season behind and they form could fall in the next stages...
